In more than 500 healthcare organizations throughout the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand and more than 200 sites throughout the U.K. and Ireland, Schwartz Rounds offer healthcare professionals a structured forum to openly and honestly discuss social and emotional experiences of caregiving. In contrast to traditional medical rounds, the focus is on the human dimension of medicine. Healthcare staff across all roles and professions have an opportunity to share their thoughts and feelings about thought-provoking topics drawn from actual patient cases; they gain insight into their personal connections with patients and colleagues as well as into their own experiences.
