What is a donor-advised fund (DAF)?

A DAF is a charitable account, sponsored by a public charity, which donors use to support their philanthropy. After establishing a donor-advised fund, the donor can recommend grants to qualified public charities. They can also advise the sponsoring organization (e.g. Fidelity Charitable®, Schwab Charitable, The Boston Foundation, and others) on the investment strategy for the charitable assets. We currently receive numerous gifts through such DAFs.

To make a gift to the Schwartz Center through your DAF, please contact your vendor directly. Please provide them with our federal 501(c)(3) number: 04-1564655, and be sure to specify that your gift is intended for the Schwartz Center for Compassionate Healthcare.

What is a monthly gift?

A monthly gift is a gift that will be billed automatically to your credit card on the 15th (or following business day) of each month. The benefit of this recurring gift to the Schwartz Center gives us greater security in our budgeting as we strive to reach as many caregivers as possible. Donors find this convenient. Further, monthly giving has a compounding impact for the organization. You can make your gift online or send us your donation by mail.
