How To Nominate
Anyone can submit a nomination. The deadline to nominate a caregiver is March 1st, 2026. Please see our Award criteria before you start. To nominate a healthcare professional for the Schwartz Compassionate Caregivers of the Year Award, you will need to complete an online nomination form with the following information:
We strongly suggest that you save your nomination letter in a Word or Google doc in case there are technical issues during the submission process.
We can’t accept additional or changed materials once you have submitted. Please note that nominations are not anonymous.
After your nomination has been submitted, we will notify your nominee and ask that they submit additional materials in order to be considered for the award. These materials include a personal statement and other optional supplementary materials.
Up to three recipients will be chosen. Selections are made by a review committee, which includes past award recipients, healthcare providers, and other volunteers. Award recipients will be asked to share their inspiring stories with our community on stage the evening of the Annual Kenneth B. Schwartz Compassionate Healthcare Dinner in fall of 2026. We will work with them closely to ensure this is an easy process for them.
